Referral program terms

Gifts, not compensation

Referral payments are discretionary gifts from One Block Shop. They are not contracted compensation, commission or wages, and no agency, employment or partnership is created.

Rates

The current rates are 10% of a referred client's first order and 5% of each later order, calculated on cash actually collected, net of the $650 location allowance on film days and net of refunds. Rates are locked per client at the time of attribution.

We can change or end it

One Block Shop may change rates, pause a referrer, or end the program at any time. Approved payouts already in a batch still pay.

We can decline any client

One Block Shop may decline any referred client for any reason. Nothing is owed on declined, refunded, disputed or charged-back business, and a refund reverses the matching gift.

Attribution

First touch wins: the first valid referral link or code a client uses is the one that counts, for 90 days. Referring yourself, your own business, or an account you control does not qualify.

Payout

Gifts accumulate on a ledger and pay on a monthly batch after funds clear, by Zelle, ACH or check. Once gifts in a calendar year reach $600, a completed W-9 is required before the next payout.

Conduct

No paid ads on the brand name, no spam, no misleading claims about One Block Shop or its results. Breaking this ends participation.
